Mountain View Garden
This low-maintenance garden was designed to frame stunning views of the mountain wilderness beyond. Sitting at the interface of housing and open space, Dakin designed this garden to resist the wildlife that frequent the area, such as deer and bear. The front yard was turned into the backyard in this design, orienting views toward mountain peaks while still providing screening in a this relatively dense Boulder neighborhood. Grid-like organization of paths, lawn and beds in this garden echo the materials and modernist architecture of the home.
